Microsoft claims that its Microsoft Teams has overtaken the popular group chatting and business suite application Slack users by reaching 13 million daily users.
Till earlier this week the Microsoft Teams was not showing the number of users who are using the software and the chatting platform on a daily basis. Today, it has declared that they have beaten the Slacks and have reached the milestone of 13 million users each day. The company, in a declaration, mentioned that from today they will be showing the daily user count in the application itself. More than anything they have focused on the marketing of the product and to show that they have made it successful.
Microsoft Teams comes with a bundle of chatting in groups and with that has bundled the different things that are adhered with it includes the subscription to office 365. Hence the users get here a package item of chats and words, excel and all.
However, much of the users are still comfortable with Slacks that comes with G-Suite. The fact here is that with G-Suite, users have to say that they won’t need any word excel or any other mediums. That is the reason why Slack is getting more preference. On the other end, Microsoft is closing down their deals with Office 365 and chatting tool only. When they were asked about whether they are going for any update, they strictly said that they are sure that their Microsoft Teams will become the most used tool in a few years.
However, with only 2 years of service and reaching 13 million users is definitely a sign that the tool is giving much to the users. Now whether Slacks makes any update in it or not, is the thing that is to be watched at.
