Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Trio Join Hands With Saferide Technologies

Saferide Technologies, one of the first automotive cyber security companies to offer a multi-tiered deterministic, heuristic detection, and threat prevention solution along with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance in a technical validation project to tests its cybersecurity solutions in vehicles at new Alliance Innovation Laboratory in Tel Aviv.

The Saferide vSentry AI solution utilizes an advanced machine learning paradigm to determine the vehicle’s normal behavior, without dependencies or prior knowledge of homes and computer protocols. Once normal behavior is established, self-learning models can precisely notice, categorize and report abnormal behavior and report it to the “Connected Vehicle Safety Center” for further analysis.

The CAN Saferide optimizer is a machine learning solution that reduces the bandwidth required to download CAD data to the cloud, which reduces the data size by 95% with a typical compression ratio without loss five times greater than other compaction algorithms that are currently in the market.

“We are very proud to work with the Alliance for the new location in Tel Aviv,” said CEO of Saferide Technologies, Yossi Vardi. “We are excited to be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our technology in collaboration with some of the world’s largest automakers and see our technology implemented in some of the world’s most popular vehicles.”

Earlier the trio had announced that it will invest up to $1 billion to fund the launch of mobility projects over the next five years to enter new technologies at a time of rapid change in the transportation industry.

Major automakers have also collaborated with small, established technology companies for robotics and standalone cars. Volvo Car Group and Daimler AG entered into a partnership with Uber Technologies Inc. Volkswagen AG and Hyundai Motor Co collaborate with Aurora.
